Broker's Comments
Boatshed Essex are pleased to be presenting this Hunter Horizon 273, which was the last model in the popular Hunter range. They have a reputation as comfortable cruising boats, with a good sailing performance, partly due to the Hunter 'twin fin' keel re design. The twin keels also provide wider sailing opportunities, for a boat capable of drying-out, cruising rivers and estuaries, but also able to make extended coastal passages.
The running rigging is led aft and well thought through, being manageable for single handed and family sailors alike. The boat is tidy, with spacious accommodation that is comfortable to use both at sea and in port and with a separate aft double cabin
When I visited the boat I was struck by its great potential for good sailing performance and spacious, comfortable accommodation. With many uses and positive features, this boat has lots to offer singlehanded and group sailors or small families alike.
The owners comment 'the boat sails well, with a good turn of speed and handles well in close quarters'.
