Fri 5 August Solar Heritage Trip: Smugglers

Are you brave enough to join our trip and hear about the dastardly deeds of days gone by? Stories and fun activities aimed at younger ones and their families. One hour boat trip departing from the public jetty at Emsworth. £6 adults, £3 children. No pre-booking – tickets will be sold on the boat during departure.
Sun 7 August Earth, Air and Water: Print-making
10am / 4 hours
An introduction to print-making inspired by Chichester Harbour with Fran Davies, artist and Conservancy teacher. All materials will be provided. Bring a packed lunch.

Fri 12 August Solar Heritage Trip: I Spy
11am / 1 hour
Departs from Emsworth. A trip especially designed for younger ones and their families. What can you spot whilst enjoying a trip on the solar boat? £6 adults, £3 children. No pre-booking – tickets will be sold on the boat during departure.
Sun 14 August Six Harbour Villages Walk
9:30am / 5 hours
A 9 mile (14 km) walk along the shoreline and through the countryside of six of the harbour’s villages; Bosham, Fishbourne, Apuldram, Dell Quay, Birdham and Itchenor with a ferry ride. Bring snacks and a packed lunch and please note that some of the paths are tidal and likely to be muddy.
Fee: Please bring £1.50 to pay the ferryman direct

Wed 17 August Early Morning Beach Walk
7:30am / 1.5 hours
A 3 mile (5 km) early morning walk on the beach at the entrance to Chichester Harbour when the tide is especially low.

Tue 23 August Mud Hunt
10am / 2 hours
Hear about why the harbour mud is important for nature but can be dangerous for us. Eat worms, shrimps and shellfish like the harbour birds! Then we go on a mud walk. Dress to get wet and muddy. All attendees must hear the safety briefing at 10am.

Sat 27 August Channel Hopper Walk
9am / 7 hours
A 14 mile (22km), walk linking Chichester with Havant and the four main channels of Chichester Harbour in between. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and footwear for muddy tidal paths. Return to Chichester independently by bus or train (information will be available at the start).

Art at Upper House in Support of the John Davis Memorial Fund
An art exhibition is being held 24-25 September at Upper House, Itchenor. The exhibition is to raise funds for the John Davis Memorial Fund to go towards the purchase a wheelie boat for injured service personnel and their families to use in Chichester Harbour. More information.
