This will be Alex's 5th Vendee Globe Race achieving 3rd and 2nd places previously, we all hope and believe this 20/21 edition is his race!
The boat is very technically advanced with mega development from nav station ergonomics, machine learning autopilot which is more proactive and adaptive, 9 camera's on the boat.... the rudders, keel, masthead the list goes on. Even the provisioning for Alex has been heavily thought out to provide maximum health and nutrition not forgetting his favourites.

Alex Thomson Racing have also created a hub in which you, as a keen supporter can view in real time: the race, location of the boats, the boat stats such as speed, bow height, maximum boat heel - all sorts of information! You can even keep an eye on Alex's personal stats like sleep time, etc. You can view this here on The ATR Hub

I found this video really interesting produced by Alex and his team a couple of days before the race start, when he joined the team and boat in Les Sables-d'Olonne

Hugo Boss supporters club in Gosport

Being based in Gosport, Alex's home town, we are again very fortunate to be part of the Hugo Boss supporters' club setup by his brother and sister-in-law in their family run hotel, restaurant and bar. Evenings with Alex, the man himself, onboard Hugo Boss whilst he is on the boat racing the race! we have the opportunity to hear first hand updates and and ask him the odd question!
