Broker's Comments
These boat details are subject to contract.
When viewing the Admiral 40, under sail, it is immediately apparent that she has a proud bow with plenty of buoyancy up front. This is a most assuring quality in a vessel when sailing in the tempestuous waters we need to deal with around the South African coast line. Further to this one will notice that she has a good deal of free-board which helps maintain a dry boat.
The vessel is designed in such a way that spinnakers can be flown without structural modification to the bows and cross beam. The uncluttered flat decks allow for unfettered movement.
To my eye the bridge deck clearance, which was changed when the move from the 38 to the 40 was made, is spot on being neither too low or too high. At the same time the coach roof and hull free board heights were modified which has given the Admiral 40 considerably more internal volume as well as better head room in the fore portion of the saloon / galley.
The 40 is offered in 2, 3 or 4 double cabin options.
All in all these are well designed and built boats that are being offered for sale at a very keen price point. This combined with the personal attention that the owner of the manufacturing yard provides his customers makes having a closer look at an Admiral 40 a prudent idea.
