When we waved goodbye to Simon Daglish's boat as it started it's trek to Corfu, a letter dropped through our letter box from him. The content of this is below:-

Dear Keith and Trevor,
A quick note to say a huge thank you for your kind donation to our little charity. We have been overwhelmed by the public's response, from something that just started as a fine idea over a bottle of wine has now raised nearly £2 million and taken seriously wounded soldiers to the North Pole - weird how some things work.
As I think I mentioned the BBC have followed us from day one and are now broadcasting the whole story on BBC1 in two parts 23rd August & 30th August @ 9:00pm, which if you have nothing else to do could amuse you.
Also a big thank you for the fantastic service you have show (sic) me whilst buying my boat. I have bought six boats in the past and this was by far the most professional and friendly service I have received - I will be back!
But until then thank you both on both fronts and I hope to see you soon.
Gawd Bless
Simon Daglish.

I think that this only goes to further my previous blog on this subject - what you see is not always what you get.
